The Big Game...for Advertisers
posted: 9:09 AM, Feb 02, 2006

Super Bowl Advertising – do any other three little words cause more salivation in the ad industry, especially the broadcast ad industry? The TV ads shown during the annual NFL spectacle are perhaps as big a show as the game itself, and for many non-football fans (you know who you are) reason enough to “watch” the contest...

I knew I wasn’t the only one! MediaPost’s Center for Media Research reports that research from Points North Group and Horowitz Associates found that consumers prefer free on-demand TV programs as opposed to paying to watch the ad-free versions...

The New Age of Advertising

Alright kids, jump in the Delorean and pump up the gigowats because we’re going to take a little trip back in time. We’re headed to the good ol’ days of the 1940’s and the early days of the television. Problems with the flux capacitor? No worries…

Kudos to the PR team over at Zone Labs…they’ve managed to make enough of a splash with their “180solutions Withdraws Lawsuit Against Zone Labs” press release that folks are now calling us to figure out who’s telling the truth. We can’t blame the media and industry watchdogs for being confused on this one...

180solutions Response to CDT Letter
posted: 7:13 AM, Jan 23, 2006

We have not yet reviewed the letter filed with the FTC by the CDT, but 180solutions and the CDT share the same vision of protecting the rights and privacy of consumers on the Internet. This shared vision has resulted in a healthy working relationship that has seen great progress in the fight against spyware and benefited consumers around the world. We have voluntarily made improvements to address every reasonable concern that the CDT has made us aware of. We hope to continue the productive dialog with the CDT for years to come.

A Case for the Content Economy
posted: 4:33 PM, Jan 18, 2006

From today’s Online Spin by Cory Trefiletti “…the fundamental truth of the Web is that it opens the doors to anyone with an idea and a little bit of time to publish for the world to see. The Web consists of trillions of pages, 99 percent of which are not created by any corporate or legal business entity. These pages are created by people all over the globe with a computer and Internet access..."
